Liberal Studies, Emphasis in Education-Generalist, B.A. (2025-2026) - Roadmap


The roadmap outlines a recommended sequence of courses to follow in order to complete your degree in a timely manner. It is designed to take into account General Education courses and major preparation courses that will satisfy multiple requirements with one course. The roadmap suggests sequencing to ensure that you complete prerequisite courses prior to taking the higher-level course.

  • Verified completion of Elementary Teacher Education Associate in Arts Degree for Transfer (AA-T) Units: 15

  • Verified completion of Elementary Teacher Education Associate in Arts Degree for Transfer (AA-T) Units: 15

  • Verified completion of Elementary Teacher Education Associate in Arts Degree for Transfer (AA-T) Units: 15

Year 3


Fall Semester (16 units)


  • Take the Liberal Studies Mathematics Proficiency Assessment
  • Major Prep or Elective Units: 10
  •      º Major Prep - ENS 241 , MATH 211 , MTHED 212 , and MUSIC 102  if not completed as part of the Elementary Teacher Education AA-T. You may need to take elective units to complete the 120 unit graduation requirement if Major Prep requirements have already been satisfied. Refer to your SDSU degree evaluation for additional information.
