In cooperation with the San Diego campus, a Registered Nurse - Bachelor of Science nursing program is available for registered nurses who completed a regionally accredited program with either an Associate Degree in nursing or a Diploma in nursing.
The following documents are also required for admission to the RN-BS Program:
Copy of current California RN license is required for progression through the program.
Official transcript showing Associate Degree in nursing or Diploma from a regionally accredited institution.
Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended to date.
CPR certification - American Heart Association - BLS for Health Care Provider.
Nursing majors are required to participate in a pre-approved international experience to increase awareness of cross-cultural issues, global health, economic, political, cultural, social services, and health challenges experienced by local populations in international environments. Students participate in residence for two or more weeks (exemption from the study abroad portion of the requirement must be approved by the dean of the college based on serious and compelling life events or physical limitations; a relevant course will be substituted).
