Program of Study
To include a plan for removal of any conditions on admission, must be approved by the program adviser. Students must complete MATH 636 ; MATH 630 or MATH 668 ; MATH 693A or MATH 693B ; MATH 780 , MATH 797 , MATH 799A , and 15 units of 500- or 600-level courses in mathematics or in a related discipline selected with the approval of the program adviser. The program of study must include at least 22 units in mathematics or statistics, and maximum 12 units of 500-level courses. Students must select Plan A (Thesis) and give a public oral defense of the thesis. A thesis normally takes one year to complete and is done under the direction of a thesis adviser.
