In addition to meeting the requirements for classified graduate standing and the basic requirements for the master’s degree as described in Requirements for Master’s Degrees , the student must complete a program of study totaling 38 units for the concentration in professional science master and 33 units for the master of science as described below. At least half of the units required must be in 600- and 700-numbered courses. Courses required to remove undergraduate deficiencies are in addition to the minimum number of units required for the degree. No more than a total of six units in courses numbered 797 and 798 will be accepted toward the degree.
