History, B.A. (2025-2026) - Roadmap

The roadmap outlines a recommended sequence of courses to follow in order to complete your degree in a timely manner. It is designed to take into account General Education courses and major preparation courses that will satisfy multiple requirements with one course. The roadmap suggests sequencing to ensure that you complete prerequisite courses prior to taking the higher-level course.

    • See SDSU University Catalog for list of approved courses. At least nine upper division major units must be at the 500-level. Note, completing a specialization in History is optional. History electives may be taken in any order. Requirements for Ancient through Early Modern History and History outside of Europe and the Americans after 1500 may be satisfied by 400 or 500 level classes.
