To be admitted to the child development major, students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.40. To qualify for admission to the child development major with an emphasis in integrated teacher education (CFD ITEP), students must have a GPA of 2.70 or better.
Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement
Completing one of the approved upper division writing courses (W) with a grade of C (2.0) or better. See Graduation Requirements for a complete listing of requirements.
CFD ITEP students must maintain a 3.0 GPA on credential courses in order to be recommended for a preliminary credential in Early Childhood Special Education at the end of their program.
Additional Requirements for the Education Specialist Credential in Early Childhood Special Education
This credential requires completion of Preliminary Education Specialist requirements (included in this program), followed by completion of the Clear Professional Induction Specialist requirements within five years of employment in an authorized setting.
