RWS 390W - Writing in Business Settings


Units: 3
Grading Method: LCR: Letter Grade with Cr/NC available. The grading default for the class will be letter grade, but students can opt to take it for Cr/NC

Prerequisite(s): RWS 290. Completion of lower division GE Area 1. Junior or senior standing.

Composing effective texts and presentations for a wide range of audiences, business purposes, genres, and settings. Enhancing critical reading and writing skills by exploring how content contributes to meaning and effectiveness in business documents.

Maximum Credits: 3
Note: International students are advised to take Linguistics 305W. Satisfies the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) for students who get a minimum grade of C or Cr. Upper-division courses should only be taken by students who have completed 60 semester units or more. In exceptional cases, a student who has completed fewer than 60 units may enroll in upper division courses.
