ECL 306W - Children’s Literature and Advanced Composition

Grading Method: LCR: Letter Grade with Cr/NC available. The grading default for the class will be letter grade, but students can opt to take it for Cr/NC

Prerequisite(s): ECL 200 [or RWS 200]. ECL 306A and 306W must be taken concurrently. Completion of lower division GE Area 1. Junior or senior standing.

Advanced composition; improvement of student skills through writing assignments based upon reading and work in the lecture part. Primarily designed to meet Graduation Writing Assessment and Literature requirements for Liberal Studies-Emphasis in Education.

Note:

Satisfies the Graduation Writing Assessment Requirement (GWAR) for students who get a minimum grade of C or Cr. Upper-division courses should only be taken by students who have completed 60 semester units or more. In exceptional cases, a student who has completed fewer than 60 units may enroll in upper division courses.
