Prerequisite(s): Twenty-four units of graduate coursework that count toward the M.A. in English.

Student must be in final semester of study for the master’s degree. Preparation, with close faculty supervision, of scholarly essays for portfolio assessment and oral defense. Advanced study of critical approaches, development of sophisticated research methodology, and close attention to scholarly writing.
