MATH 303 - History of Mathematics

Units: 3 GE - CSU Upper Division B - Explorations of Human Experience - Natural Sciences

Grading Method: LCR: Letter Grade with Cr/NC available. The grading default for the class will be letter grade, but students can opt to take it for Cr/NC

Prerequisite(s): MATH 141 or completion of the General Education requirement in Foundations of Learning IIA., Natural Sciences and Quantitative Reasoning for nonmajors. Proof of completion of prerequisite(s) required: Copy of transcript.

Historical developments in mathematics, relationships between mathematics and human history, and connections between mathematics, culture, and power.
