CHIN 202 - Intermediate Chinese II Units: 5 GE - CSU C2 - Foundations of Learning - Arts and Humanities - Humanities: History, Languages other than English, Literature, Philosophy, Religious Studies
Grading Method: LCR: Letter Grade with Cr/NC available. The grading default for the class will be letter grade, but students can opt to take it for Cr/NC
Five lectures and one hour of laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): CHIN 201 .
Continuation of CHIN 201 . Reading of contemporary work and writing of short passages in Chinese. Acquisition of an additional 400 characters.
Maximum Credits: 5 Note: See Class Schedule for appropriate section based on your background in Chinese. Taught in Chinese. Native speakers of Mandarin Chinese will not receive credit for taking lower division courses except with advance approval from the department. No credit will be given for lower division courses taken after successfully completing any upper division Chinese course taken in Chinese. No credit will be given for CHIN 101 , CHIN 102 , CHIN 201 , 202 taken out of sequence or concurrently.
