CHEM 102 - Introduction to General, Organic, and Biological Chemistry Units: 5 GE - CSU B3 - Foundations of Learning - Natural Sciences and Quantitative Reasoning - Laboratory
Grading Method: LCR: Letter Grade with Cr/NC available. The grading default for the class will be letter grade, but students can opt to take it for Cr/NC
Four lectures and three hours of laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): High school chemistry or CHEM 100 .
Concepts of general, organic, and biological chemistry necessary to understanding human biochemistry and pharmacology, including chemical bonding, stereochemistry, acidity, thermodynamics, carbohydrates, lipids, enzymes, proteins, and nucleic acids.
Maximum Credits: 5 Note: Open only to students applying for entrance to the nursing major.
