Prerequisite(s): Six lower division units in literature and/or creative writing.

Topics in United States literature to include the literature of the South, Black writers in the U.S., the frontier and U.S. literature, the outcast in U.S. literature, the immigrant experience in U.S. literature.

May be repeated with new title and content.
