The certificate in pop culture allows students to complete their course of study through multidisciplinary coursework offered by the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts. Courses focus on commodities, consumer behaviors, fiction, film, gaming, music, performance, social networks, television, and visual arts, to identify social trends in an ever-competitive job market.
Students must obtain a grade of C (2.0) or better in each of the certificate courses. If applicable, six units of the certificate may be applied to a major in the College of Arts and Letters or the College of Professional Studies and Fine Arts, but may not be applied to a minor.
