Mathematics Minor

Courses in the minor may not be counted toward the major, but may be used to satisfy preparation for the major and general education requirements, if applicable. A minimum of six upper division units must be completed in residence at San Diego State University.

Required Courses

The minor in mathematics consists of a minimum of 20-21 units in mathematics to include

Twelve Upper Division Units in Mathematics

At least six of which have a prerequisite of

MATH 151 - Calculus II Units: 4
OR

Nine Upper Division Units in Mathematics

To include

MATH 252 - Calculus III Units: 4
And at least six of which have a prerequisite of
MATH 151 - Calculus II Units: 4
