In addition to meeting the requirements for classified graduate standing and the basic requirements for the master’s degree as described in Part Four of this bulletin, the student must complete a graduate program of at least 30 units which includes a major consisting of at least 24 units in French, of which at least 18 units must be in 600- and 700-numbered courses in French, including FRENC 799A - Thesis , for those following Plan A.

Students, with the consent of the graduate adviser, may elect Plan A, which includes FRENC 799A - Thesis  (minimum GPA 3.6), or Plan B, which includes written and oral examinations in lieu of the thesis.
