The Honors Minor in Interdisciplinary Studies consists of 16 units of honors interdisciplinary seminars and honors sections of general education courses, of which four units are lower division and 12 units are upper division. A maximum of three units of honors sections of general education courses may be counted to satisfy the requirements of the minor. Students must complete an SDSU approved credit-bearing study abroad experience, thus bringing the total units for the minor to at least 17 units. Students must be admitted to the Weber Honors College at the time they declare the minor.

Preparation for the Honors Minor
(4 units) Upper Division for the Honors Minor
(12 units) Courses in the major department or required for the major may not be used to satisfy requirements for the minor. A minimum of six upper division units must be completed in residence at San Diego State University. Study Abroad Requirement
(minimum of 1 unit) All honors minor students are required to complete an SDSU approved credit-bearing study abroad experience prior to their final semester at SDSU. To meet the study abroad requirement, minors must complete one of the following: An approved SDSU international program, either listed in the SDSU Aztecs Abroad database or approved by SDSU through pre-departure permission from the honors adviser; or; |
