Students who graduate with an M.A. in Critical Studies from SDSU will be prepared either to teach academic music courses at the community college level or to apply for Ph.D. programs at high-ranking institutions.
Admissions Requirements:
Applicants are required to submit scholarly writing samples that demonstrate advanced skills in research, critical thinking, and writing. An undergraduate music degree is recommended, but not required. Previous coursework should demonstrate an aptitude for critical thinking.
