Courses in the minor may not be counted toward the major or another minor, but may be used to satisfy preparation for the major and general education requirements.
A minimum of six upper division units must be completed in residence at San Diego State University.
Additional prerequisites may be required for courses in the minor.

Requirements
The minor in food studies consists of a minimum of 20 units to include:
Preparation
Choose 2-3 units from:
Electives
Courses with relevant content may be substituted with the approval of the adviser.
6 units selected from core courses listed above if not taken for core credit, or:
Experiential Learning
Other courses, including study abroad, may also qualify if preapproved by adviser.
3 units, preapproved by adviser, selected from:
Capstone
The submission of a capstone portfolio to adviser before the end of last semester.
