M E 314 - Engineering Design: Mechanical Components

Grading Method: LCR: Letter Grade with Cr/NC available. The grading default for the class will be letter grade, but students can opt to take it for Cr/NC

Prerequisite(s): M E 200  or A E 200 , MATH 151 , CHEM 202  or CHEM 200 , PHYS 196  with a grade of C (2.0) or better.  M E 190 , M E 202 , M E 220 , M E 241 , M E 304 .

Application of mechanics, physical properties of materials, and solid mechanics to the design of machine elements. Student design projects.
