JAPAN 212 - Intermediate Japanese II Units: 5 GE - CSU C2 - Foundations of Learning - Arts and Humanities - Humanities: History, Languages other than English, Literature, Philosophy, Religious Studies
Grading Method: LCR: Letter Grade with Cr/NC available. The grading default for the class will be letter grade, but students can opt to take it for Cr/NC
Five lectures and one hour of laboratory.
Prerequisite(s): JAPAN 211
Strengthening communication skills in Japanese; various literary styles; additional kyoiku kanji. Cultural values shaping modern Japanese society; intercultural communication.
Maximum Credits: 5 Note: Preparation for JAPAN 311 . Taught in Japanese. Native speakers of Japanese or students whose placement test results demonstrate educated native or near-native fluency will not receive credit for taking lower division courses. No credit will be given for lower division courses taken after successfully completing any upper division Japanese course taught in Japanese. No credit will be given for JAPAN 111 , JAPAN 112 , JAPAN 211 , JAPAN 212 taken out of sequence.
